Catherine achieved a first class degree in English Literature at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge, before moving completing her PGCE at Trinity College, Oxford. She has taught a variety of English qualifications at both GCSE and ‘A’ level, including the new AQA Specifications, and has held a range of additional posts in school including, most recently, Second in English. She is committed to enabling students of all abilities and dispositions to achieve highly, and is passionate about cultivating enthusiasm about literature, having studied texts ranging from Beowulf to Angela Carter with her classes. This year, she has most enjoyed exploring Shakespeare and Dickens with her Year 10 students.
