Stella is a teacher dedicated to and passionate about sharing Literature with young people. She achieved a first class degree in English Language and Literature from Magdalen College, Oxford, and - following her completion of the PGCE course at the Oxford University Department of Education - has taught English at Didcot Girls' School for fifteen years. During that time, she has also held various other positions of responsibility within the school, including Key Stage 5 English co-ordinator, Second in English and Lead Practitioner. She is currently the Professional Tutor, responsible for the support and training of beginning teachers. Stella was privileged to have been presented with the Oxford University Inspirational Teachers Award in 2015. She also enjoys writing and co-wrote a Christmas cantata for young choirs called One Bright Star (published by Starshine Music) in 2005. Stella is committed to experienced teachers staying in the classroom as much as possible and enjoys teaching across the Key Stages.
