I have had a rewarding career as a History teacher and examiner, working in a number of both state and private secondary schools and colleges and, until 2017, teaching History at the Cheltenham Ladies' College. In the course of my career, I have been privileged to be involved in the setting and assessment of examination papers, the provision of teacher inset and the work of professional bodies seeking to advance the teaching of History and advance curriculum development. I currently work as a textbook writer and editor as well as being a senior examiner for a leading examination board.
